ABOUT ME
I am a retired pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) with more than 25 years of experience walking alongside pastors and congregations in seasons of transition, growth, and challenge. My work is grounded in a simple but powerful goal: helping leaders and churches find clarity, navigate change with confidence, and move forward with renewed purpose.
My educational journey began at the University of Washington in Speech Communications and Education, and continued at Union Presbyterian Seminary, where I earned a Doctor of Ministry. While serving in Boston Presbytery, I also had the privilege of mentoring future leaders as a field supervisor for students from Harvard Divinity School—an experience that continues to shape how I support and develop clergy today.
Midway through my ministry, I recognized the growing need for deeper emotional and relational support in church leadership. I completed a two-year postgraduate program in pastoral psychotherapy through the Lloyd Center for Pastoral Counseling at San Francisco Theological Seminary. This training enriched my ability to work with pastors, staff, and lay leaders facing complex personal and congregational dynamics—especially in times when the path forward is not immediately clear.
Over the years, I have served congregations ranging from 100 to 750 members—as an associate pastor, solo pastor, interim pastor, and head of staff. I bring a wide range of experience in conflict transformation, organizational leadership, church administration, interim ministry, and pastoral counseling. I understand both the visible challenges and the hidden pressures that come with leading in today’s church.
For those who find value in personality frameworks, my approach is shaped by a strategic and reflective lens: I’m an INTJ, with CliftonStrengths in Input, Ideation, Deliberative, Belief, and Connectedness, and an Enneagram Eight (The Challenger). In practice, that means I bring thoughtful analysis, creative problem-solving, and a grounded, honest presence to the work—always with an eye toward what is life-giving and sustainable.
If you’re sensing the need for clarity, support, or a way forward—whether for yourself or your congregation—I invite you to take the next step. Click on the name of each service for a more detailed description.
